What is Milwaukee Known for?

They have been playing since 1894 and were one of five charter members when the American Association was formed that same year with teams from four states: Boston Red Stockings (later renamed as Braves), St. Louis Brown Stockings, Louisville Grays (later became Cardinals), and Detroit Wolverines/Tigers.
The Brewers have won one league championship, in the 1982 World Series. They also made it to the playoffs as a wild card team in 1998 and 2008 but lost both times during the first round.
The Brewers have retired one number, Robin Yount's 19 in 1992. The most famous player to wear this number was Paul Molitor who played for the team from 1982-to 1994 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004.
The Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks are a professional basketball team currently playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team began its existence as an expansion franchise in 1968 and is one of 30 teams to have never won a championship. Nevertheless, they made it to the playoffs 40 times since their inception.
They also hold many NBA records such as most wins by any player with 1160 for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, winning percentage for John Stockton at 0.726%, highest winning margin in a game (118), and most consecutive games with at least one three-pointer made by Ray Allen.

Milwaukee Admirals
The Milwaukee Admirals are a professional ice hockey team that participates in the American Hockey League.
The Admirals play their home games at the UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena which has been host to many events, including NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments and the NCAA Frozen Four.
The Admirals have won two Calder Cups and are one of only five active AHL franchises to win a league championship in the last twenty years.
